On the waters of the Brenta Canal, on a characteristic boat, “Il Burchiello”, or driving along the coast road of the Riviera all the way to Padova, you can admire a series of age-old, aristocratic villas which were built by Venetian nobles in the sixteenth century as magnificent holiday residences.
The villas are named after the most important Venetian families: Villa Pisani, Villa Gradenigo, Villa Sceriman Widmann and, the architectural Palladian masterpiece, Villa Foscarialla Malcontenta.
